About
Brooke successfully completed her board exams and joined the College of Massage of Therapy of BC in 2010. Throughout her practice, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings before opening her own practice in 2018. Brooke uses a variety of techniques to achieve treatment goals including:
Swedish massage
Myofascial release
Trigger point release
Stretching
IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization)
Joint mobilization
Deep tissue
She encourages her patients to take an active part in their healthcare. She believes nutrition, exercise and soft tissue mobilization through massage are integral parts of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall health. Her patients range from competitive athletes to office workers from ages 15 to 80 years old. Some of the conditions she enjoys treating are:
Sports injuries
Postural dysfunctions
Overuse injuries
Headaches
Shoulder injuries
In 2019, Brooke sustained an unforeseen low back injury that led her to valuable self-reflection. She not only experienced the psychological impact of pain and injury but also recognized the significance of stress and the mind-body connection. This injury enhanced her compassion and increased her support for bodywork and mental health.
Consistency and commitment to healthy life choices have shaped Brooke's identity in her personal and professional life. Brooke is currently studying at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and living in North Vancouver. She thoroughly enjoys spending time in the forest with her dog.
